Installing Socialhipe Widget onto a Squarespace website

Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing socialhipe onto each page on your Squarespace website. This is done by installing what we call a pixel onto your website, which will allow the widgets to work for your campaign. .

Prerequisites

  • Access to your Squarespace account.
  • The SocialHipe pixel code you want to install (found by clicking the 3 dots on the campaign page and clicking install pixel)

Steps

Step 1: Log in to Your Squarespace Account

  1. Go to Squarespace Login and log in with your credentials.

Step 2: Access the Website Settings

  1. In the main menu, click on Settings.
  2. In the settings menu, select Advanced.

Step 3: Navigate to Code Injection

  1. Within the Advanced settings, click on Code Injection. This section allows you to add custom code to your site.

Step 4: Add the JavaScript Pixel Code

  1. In the Header section of the Code Injection page, paste your pixel code found previously. It should look something like this:
 

Step 5: Save Your Changes

  1. After pasting your pixel code, scroll down and click the Save button.

Step 6: Verify the Pixel Installation

  1. Once you have saved your changes, navigate to the front end of your Squarespace site.
  2. Use the browser’s developer tools (usually accessed by pressing F12 or right-clicking and selecting Inspect) to check if the pixel code is present in the section of the page.
  3. Additionally, verify that the pixel is firing correctly by checking the correct operation on the page, and the statistics section of the campaign
